Amy Naylor Upcycled Navy T-Shirt – Central Handpan Symbol Print

Amy Naylor Upcycled Navy T-Shirt – Central Handpan Symbol Print

This upcycled T-shirt has been individually hand-stamped by artist Amy Naylor, giving it a clear and distinctive character. The navy blue cotton in a classic L size has a crew-neck shape with a subtle red inner neck trim, and the design is placed centrally on the chest for a balanced look. Because each stamp is applied by hand, the texture and pressure vary naturally, making this a genuine one-off piece.

The stamped motif is a single flowing symbol combining a stylised handpan at the base with a rising, looping line inspired by the Unalome. Traditionally, the Unalome represents the journey through life — beginning at the centre, moving outward, and following a path that includes twists, detours, and moments where it dips before rising into clarity again. It’s a visual metaphor for personal growth and the winding progression toward freedom or peace.

Amy explains her own interpretation like this:

“Usually the Unalome starts with a spiral, but I swapped that for a handpan. You start in the centre and work your way out. The loops show how sometimes you dip back down again and it feels like a step backwards, but this symbol shows that you’re still on the path. The handpan is a big symbol of my path to freedom, or enlightenment, or nirvana, or whatever you wanna call it.”
