Meet Phil Begnett

Phil discovered the handpan in 2023 after a friend introduced him to the music of Hang Massive, and he's been passionate about the instrument ever since. His journey has seen him learn from respected handpan teachers, become a moderator of the Master the Handpan online community and launch his own podcast, Handpan Voices, where he interviews players and makers from around the world.

About the Lessons

Phil's one-to-one lessons are designed for beginners and intermediate players, with a focus on developing a good playing technique, understanding chords and finding their own musical expression.

With an emphasis on building confidence and creativity, he encourages students to explore the instrument at their own pace, regardless of their previous musical experience, while discovering the enjoyment, relaxation and sense of calm that playing the handpan can bring.
