HangOut UK

HangOut UK is the world’s longest-running handpan festival and is widely regarded as the first dedicated gathering of its kind. First held in 2007, it brings players, makers and enthusiasts together for a weekend of performances, workshops, informal jams and campsite gatherings. The 2026 event marks its 20th anniversary, making it a landmark year for one of the most important community events in the handpan world.

Handpanion comment: HangOut UK holds a special place in the handpan world. Rob and Kelly have created a festival where players, makers and performers come together in a relaxed, welcoming and very natural way. Many well-known players have passed through HangOut over the years, and for newer players it can be a rare chance to meet the wider community, try beautiful instruments, learn, listen, play, and feel properly included.
